I was a bit concerned when I got the email, with out the picture I was wondering what ever you had been sitting on was gunna look like

I had seen that pic, It was taken in just the last couple of months, so apears there is still somthing in the works with the 8V.

Nice seenin the ole Griso there in the Vid taking a lie down... shock of a flood is that.

Beauty inspiring video D, it would be fab to be able to get over to Italy say for 2021, maybe they will have some sort of party for the 100yrs.
To get out in there roads and around some of the great vehicle manufacturs of the world would be wicked!

Yes it is a shocking little movie.
And it was a pre-production model, as you can see it was ridden by a techie.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

For those that may not look in at the guzzi.it(check it out) site... again some guff on the new 8V, looks like stuff is going on...
They sure write it to make it sound wicked.

Will the fact it uses less gas than the 1100 be enuf to convince Mrs Bullet of a need?

Says it's only in white or black, but I'm sure Crazefox could fix that

MMmmm just watched the video clip, and I like the new exaust as big as it is, and for me, black, or the white looks damn nice as well... it'll make my griso worth only a couple of shillings once it is released or they will price it through the roof.

With this new 8V engine, I wonder why they aren't they doing a V11 Lemans-type machine, something really sporty to take advantage of the extra power (looks like about 20 more horsies).
I do like the new Griso though.

Id say they will, the 4v will end up in the 1200 sport. Im thinking the Griso is just for testing etc, having said that the 1200 sport isnt the the racest of machines as its just a Breva with lower bars, nowere as sports position as the v11... but I wont hold my breath as Aprila is Peragos* sports bikes.

Rode my mates 1200 Sport a while back & really enjoyed it. Cannot wait to take it touring 2-up.Swapped bikes the other day with another mate who's just scored a 1997 1100 Sport (I bought one new in 97 & did 43000k's on her) for I think $8200 & had a blast, bought back fond memories, who needs more than 80RWHP @ the end of the day. Made my mate work really hard to get passed on his Aprilia Tuono Racing on our loverly twisty Mountain, I did get him back over the top which he was more than suprised (read closed road, not public ) bring back the 1100 Sport I say or make the road going MGS 02 like they said they where going to a few years back

    Can't wait for the 8V!!

After getting one of the first Griso's and keeping it for a year, I loved every minute of it. When I heard about the 8V 5 months ago and saw some pictures, I had sold the misarable 4V and started saving within 2 weeks.
Mt Eden M/c's think the first shipment will arrive in NZ mid '08 and will be around 28K.
I will ride a demonstrator for a weekend because it will mean putting my other 8V up for sale, and I am rather attached to it so the new one better be good.
My main concern will be the range. If the 8V is too hungry the range will fall under 200km as the 4V gets 220km before a top up. 17 litre tank- bullshit, drained mine and got 16.2 l back in it and the 8V has the same tank.
The Daytona compared to the lemans 1000 in fuel consumption is about 20% more, from my experiences.
The 4V Griso has great grunt and goes 0-150km very quickly for a twin, I can't wait to see what the new 8V does!
(Plus the muffler does it for me)
