    Grand Challenge information

I note that the Rustynuts web site has crashed and burned.

I presume that the Grand Challenge is still a go for October. Does anybody know where it's starting from this year? Turangi again?

I emailed Lee about the www site last week and haven't heard back yet.

There is another update about the big50 but I can't get it as he only put it on the www site and didn't email it.

Hitcher, do you need this years 1000 miler to get into the big50 ??

Sure do! I have booked the Friday and Monday either side of the 16-17 October and was wanting to organise some accommodation in Turangi (or wherever the start is), preferably something with a decent bed and hot-tub...

The onsite camping ground where the event is held is VERY basic, definitely no hot-tub. Taupo's only a short ride and there would be tons of places there.

A couple if minutes walk from the camp where the 1000 miler starts is another place $80 for a two bed room with shower and TV and onsite resturant.

Hitcher: there's quite a few motels in Turangi, I'm sure you'd find one there with a spa/hot tub.

    Rustynuts WWW site

The www site for Rusty Nuts is back online now.

Although it's listed in the "What's New" page I can't see what's changed on the big50 FAQ.

    Rusty info

can be obtained from website - back running - sorry for being off line but the web host put in some new servers which had a few hassles.

If you wish you can contact me thru this site via email if you wish.
If you say either "I can" or "I can't" your correct.
