140/50 x 16 tyres (rear)

Just a question, Are these available anywhere in NZ? Or, anywhere in the world? Is there such a size?

I can't find any on the net, but somebody here may know.

(I suspect the seller may be mistaken, or if he is correct, they are a real odd ball me thinks).

I was thinking it will be a way cool bucket racer, but if you can't get tyres for it then it is just a bucket dust collector.

140/80 would have quite high side walls as in GSX600.

I reckon you should check with the like of Cycletreads as to whether these tyres can be bought here, although I suspect that finding tyres could be the least of your worries...

I reckon you should check with the like of Cycletreads as to whether these tyres can be bought here, although I suspect that finding tyres could be the least of your worries...

Yep, tried google for the size, but no luck. Ya know, looked at all the makers of good tyres, and nadda.

I suspect tyres won't be an issue either. 80k will be more off putting.
No bucket racer for this one.

Na, even to my untrained eye they look like 50 series profile.
Remember I look at 160/60 x 17's everytime I jump on the bike (well, just prior), so I have a bit of a mental picture.

Yes, I think Tyre may be a little missleading!
.I suspect the bike only is capable of 80k, because that is the fastest man can safely travel on plastic (same limit applied to "Spacesavers" in cages.

I was actually quite keen on it - Im a beginner and thought it would be prefect to start/learn on.

Am I right to assume that these bikes wouldnt last very long? How many K's would it do?

Oh is it also hard to get 16'' tyres?? What about parts etc?
