Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

..There are only two things that matter in this world..
the front wheel and the rear wheel...
I'm pretty sure I can still make it, one question though - which BP :/
/edit - Thanks for the pm Jim!
I had a late night but I got enough sleep to not be a hazard I think, looking out the window to see blue sky was a nice welcome (even if the trees are swaying hard hehe)
Okay - here's the goss:

was that you guys I saw coming down the hill on Brookby Road (not sure of the name)with a trike at the back? Me so jealous.
I was burning up the hill in my dad's red McGregor Lotus Seven Replica!
Nice day for a drive/ride![]()
Well that was alright.
Think i can work out a couple of kinks from that
Nice to meet ya'll.
WD to the organiser/s.
Save the world, Kill someone
I had a blast!
Thanks to Mav, Jim and whoever else helped organise this.. it was great. Sorry I wasn't up for much conversation - was a bit groggy in the morning hehe.
It was great to see so many bikes, now I must find a cushion to tend to my backside.
Thanks again to the organisers, hope everyone gets back to their homes safetly!
Wot he said!
very good once again, and I think most could select a speed they wanted, and have a lot of fun.
Thanks to McJim and Mav (and any hiding organisers)![]()

Thanks for taking point for the more experienced riders. Yesterday I thought we were looking at about 12 riders attending - I was a bit awestruck trying to brief nearly 30 riders on where we were going today.
Glad to see a lot of new riders on the road - hopefully days like today will help give everyone the experience and confidence they need to get the most out of their bikes.
I'd like to especially thank the members of Ulysses that kept us company on the road to Kaiaua. It was nice to know they were behind me rather than being tailgated by an angry cager!
Met The Dover and Finn on the way home and caught up on the terrible news this weekend. Got a lump in my throat as I type. My thoughts go out to the families concerned.
Thanks to everyone who attended today.

Well, deep breath - after reading the threads of the fatal accidents concerning fellow kbersI'm happy that everyone was safe and sound and got to put some of their skills into practice. Nothing silly or flash, just the sound basics and glad to see everyone enjoying themselves at the same time!
I'll get the photos posted up ... once I've had a quiet moment to reflect on my own riding experiences from up north and how to keep motorbiking for a long, long time safely.
Only hairy moment of the day was when we were returning from Kaiaua to Clevedon, the crazy yahoo in a car overtaking into on coming traffic from around a blind bend. I slowed down plenty and hoped like heck we weren't about to witness a tragedy. Also on another note, two other bikers (not any of our group) doing crazy overtake manuever with only 25-30m of clear![]()
Big turn out for a little 250 newbie friendly ride! Guess everyone needed to learn something! Mav - thanks for leading out the faster 250's, I was squadron leader for the first time for the slower 250's (slow? We all doing legal! 50-70 is plenty fast at times!) ... ahh, what a great day it was - now the reality when others not so fortunate have fallen doing what we all love to do - mastering our ride.RIP to those who have passed
