In the final analysis, the plate is just a registration plate, and you can't see it when you're riding anyway.

It should be enough for people to admire your bum instead your bike's bum, and for you to know they can't have it.

Oh - and buy the next guitar up from what you can afford! Or if you want a cheap one in good nick, we may have one for sale (The Dave just bought a new Ibanez).
    I was thinking that...

I was learning to play an acoustic giutar... but I don't have a musical bone in my body so it took forever... and besdies... I didn't really wanna learn all the cords and crap... just how to play a certain song... managed to learn the first 15 seconds of "Paint it black" lol

I still wanna learn more... Sam got one of those junk mail things from a music shop (can't remember which one) and they have an acoustic guitar (dunno the brand) and it comes with a guitar bag, spare strings, about 4 picks, a strap, an amp, an electric tuner... and... I think that might be it... for only like $300 or $400 or something... Which sounds really cheap to me... for all those extra's... when I brought my first acoustic guitar about 3.5 years ago I paid over $600 for it, then extra for the bag, tuner, strings, picks etc...

oh... and now Sam wants drums for xmas
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

don't buy all the shit that comes with it. get a decent instrument and buy what you need.

I.E. a plectrum (and a tuner if you're tone deaf.)

The plates people obviously haven't considered the 'rear view mirror' thing. You can't get ones like "PEN15" or whatever, but I saw one the other day that said "TIH5 O". Why someone would spend $550 or whatever plates cost for something with novelty value only, is beyond me.

Come to that, I reckon they're a complete waste of money, unless:
    • You had one for a commercial vehicle and could prove it increased sales / income.
    • You owned a classic car / bike.
    • You were a persistent law-breaker, and had one like the couple I've seen that have a random mixture of K's and X's, 1's and I's, 5's and S's, or whatever. Very hard to remember.
Having said that, if money was no object (but alas, it is), and I'd completed pharkling my VFR (alas, I haven't), I'd consider one. There are several suitable ones available, but not RC46 or VFR or 781, unfortunately. But then again, that's another good disincentive, innit?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
