    24,000km Service

My gixxer is due it's 24000km service very shortly, too bloody shortly, and I've heard it's a pricey one.

Anyone else had their gixxer's 24000km service done recently and what did it cost?

    Or a ballpark figure??

24,000km on the 600 cost $150 and that involves the valves.

But i also delivery it with out lower fairing, which in turn saves about 1hr worth of labour charge (even tho it takes 30 mins max to put off and on)

PM Classic_Z, or ph.his w/shop, 09-424 0477, he's just doing a service on an ST2 Duc that the owner was quoted a zillion dollars and up to 14 days to do! He'll have it ready in two days and only a quarter of a zillion... I suspect the owner of said Ducati will be very pleased.

    you'd think so eh?

but when I rang around to get a price for the 750s 6000km service I was given figures from $160 up to $260.

I took it to Holeshot who quoted about $160 and ended up paying about $250 including $25 for an oil filter than I can get over the counter for $15 and fifty bucks worth of motul.

I want to try Mr Motorcycles in Pukekohe asI've heard good things about them but I'll see if they respond to my email and what price they come up with.

The bike WILL be going in sans plastique as I'll be fucked if I'm paying a mechanic $100 an hour for something I can fuck up myself.

There is, of course, the "traditional" fix for that.............just involves a bit of pain and trauma and............viola!

    No 24000K servicing worries!

They seem like a pretty good bunch in there mate, I have spoken to them before about servicing and they have a guy there who has a lot of experience with sports bike etc as most of them out there mainly work on quads and chook chasers.
