Hmm... not too pricey considering one with 10k less and cracked/scratched fairings went for 4.2k a few weeks ago without spares. Don't forget this one has had all the work done inside it most zxrs never get done. Most people who see it say i'd get at least 5k for it, nuff said

I've seen two A models with over 100k and they still are same as the '20k' ones you see, same power same ride. Great engineering!

    Cheers though!
I might drop start bid a bit lower and leave res though, we will see.

20kms same as 100k> doubt it, looking at a massive compresion loss as to 20k engine lol, 20k is resonably low,
look i wasnt meant to offend you, also moding stuff u can never ever get ur cash back on, genrally private sales u get great bikes for decent prices,
5k seems good but starting bid at 4200, is high for that number, like i said

Fair enough, just from experience there is really no power delivery problem with higher k's if they are looked after well. I see bikes that are well looked after get almost same power figures on the dyno as lower k ones. Skyline engines are notorious for being able to be opened after 100k and they still have faint honing patterns on the bore etc.

I can't afford 4200 unfortunately, we will see about lowering though.

edit: and with modding, I realise you don't get your money back (wish it were possible). The value is for me.. and i'm going to miss this thing It's a head turner.

The auction (not to mention the pictures of spares everywhere and the big deal you make out of replacing parts) makes it sounds thrashed, crashed, and the number of self answers make it look like you're desperate to sell. At least the paint is nice and shiney though... although it makes it looks like it has been crashed and repainted, as do the purple wheels. Good luck with your sale.

It has been crashed, as with almost every 250 apart from new i've ever seen.
It got painted originally after minor gravel rash due to a construction company screw up, they paid out 2/3rds of it for 2 panels and i decided to do the rest. It was crashed in japan at some stage I'm guessing too from headlight mounted in there being cracked on some mounts.

Cheers OAB, pic removed. Doh. Not mine anyway though.

For sure, just thought it might help you to refine your auction (assuming it doesn't sell off the bat)

superdaves ZXR250A had 118,000km on it and still pulled the same as my one did with 40,000km... its all relative to how well they get looked after.

And for the person who said he seems eager to sell it... wouldnt you be if you had a shiney new bike awaiting payment! (sorry can't divulge the secrets for fear of the kriegz sekret mafiaz)

Meh not a bad buy IMHO, 250's are over priced but thats the market of today.

That's not necessarily advantageous to him getting the best price...
