    Lost L-plate - Found

Well, I just thought I'd share the story of my missing L-Plate with you...mostly because I'm bored, But it is a little tiny bit interesting

A short while ago, on one of my rides to the famous little town of Waimate...My L-plate went missing ( shock and horror! ), It had been ripped off from where I had bolted it on(between a reflector at the back and where it bolts through), and there was still a small square of yellow plastic from where is once was.
At first I thought it must have been due to it being bent beyond what it could haddle by airpressure created by my excessive speed down a rather long straight. However, A few days later, I noticed a rather odd clicking noise coming from what appeared to be the chain as I rolled the bike backwards out of the garage. A small inspection revealed nothing out of the ordinary and after a short ride the noise was gone.
(and now here's the interesting part) Yesterday, while performing routine maintenance of the chain, I removed the rear hugger for easier access, and what did I find? nothing other that the deformed mess of my old L-plate! Sitting on the swingarm between the rear tyre and rear shock!
It appears that at some point during the duration of my trip, The suspention bottomed out, allowing the bottom of my L-plate, to hit a rather fast spinning tyre that resulted in it being snapped from its bracket and sucked between the tyre and hugger....depositing it on the swingarm thus causing the odd clicking sound when being rolled backwards.....
    Pictures to follow tonight

hah, I think not... I know of L plates, attached with a bit of masking tape, going over 250, and still not coming close to coming off...

I lost my number plate once, I knew the bracket was starting to break, so was on my way to sort it out... got to my mates place, where we were going to make another bracket, it was gone Being that I had just travelled 50ish k, I didn't hold much hope of ever finding it again.

Went down mates driveway, and there it was... farken lucky

No joke >.< Deadly serious... It was the only thing that made any sence what-so-ever at the time.., wasn't just the fact that there was no L-plate hanging there anymore, it was the small yellow square left....witness to the fact it had been violently ripped off..not just simply fallen.

I had a mate who lost his anti-fog gaurd out of his helmet. Went to put it on one day and couldnt find it. The other day was in the garage looking at his bike... Then we saw a nice black triangle on the exhaust pipe next to the fairing. Looked alot like a melted anti fog gaurd.

What are the odds of it being the gaurd. Oh well, Mystery closed. Time for some scuby snacks, and off into the mystery machine!
