    K4 GSXR600 - info

    I have just recently bought a gixxer 600, how do i adjust the shift light etc, and what different things can i do with the electronics in the dials? Is there a user manual or sumthing around, and what about a service manual?

    Cheers!

    Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

    Mate, it's a while since I did this and I sold my k4 some time ago so can't check but I found this info on another gsxr site:

    Hold down the SEL and ADJ buttons before turning on the ignition
    Hold them down for a futher 2 seconds after turning on
    then release both buttons
    Don't start the engine.
    next press the ADJ button, each press will cycle though the Shift light mode :-
    FLASH -> CONTINUOUS -> DISABLE
    Once choice has been made press SEL button

    now use ADJ button to set Shift Light Brightness-the odometer will display
    o -> oo -> ooo -> oooo -> ooooo
    where o is dimest setting and ooooo is brightest setting.
    after making choice press SEL button

    Tacho needle will now swing to current RPM setting,
    press ADJ button and the needle will move up in 250 rpm increments above 10000 rpm
    when it gets to14000 rpm it will drop to 6500 rpm and increase in 500 rpm increments for each press of the ADJ button below 10000 rpm
    when you have made your RPM choice press the SEL button .
    the Shift light is now set

    Service manual here: http://www.cnystunter.com/howto.htm
    What a difference indifference can make
