    Suzuki TU250 (Volty)

"Suzuki dépoussiére the 250 GN by modifying it in this TU. It preserves the framework and back damping of it. The fork is new; the two-seater saddle, the more imposing tank and the large headlight give him a rather pleasant nostalgic key.

"For the price of the majority of recent “the grosses” 125, TU offers mono 250 to the voice sympathetic nerve but to the measured performances. One does not have to expect to be made tear off the arms. This academic power has however the merit to be present where it is necessary.

"The good completion will not make forget the stiffness of the suspensions. As at all Suzuki, the brake before lack of corrosive. This utility behaves with wonder downtown, profiting from a handling without concern. The driver is at ease, the passenger a little less because the saddle is a hair right."

Yep, that about sums up all the good things about my Volty

Mahaha! What site did you translate that from? A Japanese site with google language translation? Hilarious but accurate review.

You're right, Mr Steam! It was actually a French site and I did use the google translator. The bit about not tearing off the arms had me rolling on the floor laughing.

Seriously though, there aren't a lot of reviews of the Volty in English. It looks like it was never sold in the US, and most of the reviews are in Japanese or European languages. Perhaps it's time for some Kiwi Volty riders to put that right?

Loved my Volty, she rocked and although I was happy to step up, I was sad to see her go :-)
    Totally awesome bike!

    Ha ha.

Once I walked home the same way every day. I used to see two Voltys (Tan seat ones..) parked in a garage often. Anyway, one day I was walking past and two guys were in the garage in bike gears.

They were having a big hug and were smiling like only gay men can.

So, since then, I've always thought of those two whenever I see a Volty...

Mon Dieu, didn't you ever pass School Cert French?? Even with 50% you could do a better translation job than a Google translator...

"Suzuki has dusted off the GN250, turning it into this TU. It retains the frame and the rear suspension. The forks are new; the double seat, larger tank and big fat headlight give it quite a pleasant retro look. For the same price as most recent “big” 125s, the TU offers a 250 single with a nice sound but unexceptional performance. Don’t expect your arms to be wrenched off. This modest power at least has the merit of being there when you need it. The high standard of finish doesn’t make up for the stiffness of the suspension. As with all Suzukis, the front brake is not exactly sharp. This runabout behaves superbly in town, with worry-free roadholding. The rider is comfortable but the pillion passager doesn’t fare quite so well as the seat is a fraction too small."
