    Hole in my exhaust!!!

Bah, was crusing around the countryside the other day and I noticed a weird loudness especially when changing gears, found a nice little hole on the underside of the muffler.

Any suggestions on how to cover it up? Note: CHEAPLY

I can weld the bugger if need be....

    Question a hole ?

Make sure it's not some sort of drain hole from the silencer can that's meant to be there. Get a second opinion on what you've found.

If it's a dastardly hole that shouldn't be there, bang a gob of weld into it.

    Cheers.

As above, but gas weld it - not arc welding or you will make the hole bigger.

If it were not drain hole and not too big, you can use the clay putty (sort of the thing used for plumbing).
    They get harder with heat.

of course.. if you did have to weld such a hole you'd want to be pretty careful not to burn out all your exhaust packing
