well done beemer...they are so cute!! we used to have collars on all our cats, but after one got tangled in the blinds cord and nearly died, weve been collar free for all our cats. though i do sometimes put things loosely around their necks for fun [only for a few seconds]

motu...i hope your one comes home!! would you be able to go over and ask if they have seen the kitten? and maybe take a photo. by the sounds of it, the kitten wont be properly looked after or spayed. was it old enough to be away from mum?

He was old enough to be weaned, although we think that should be a mother led thing,as in humans. But he was also at that age when a cute little kitten turns up on your doorstep without a home....and who turns away a friendly kitten? He's not next door or anywhere localy, the mother would of found him.I'm not sure how we are with next door at the moment - the Cops have been called out to their place twice in a week from our phone...but not from my wife or I,I'm not sure if we are seen as the bad guys or not.

But Andy and Kelvin are going great guns, lots of playing and fighting, and M joins in too,it's so good to see a mother involved in bringing up her young ones,it's a shame kittens are weaned early and taken from their mothers, she has so much input to their development. She has caught some birds for them, but none have come inside yet.We got a catdoor and the boys have learnt how to use it....M is a bit slow on modern technology.

I'm a bit biased too, I love ALL cats! The two kittens have settled in really well and seem to be 'accident free' now, thankfully.

Smooch is still trying to play with them and is getting better at judging how much weight she can put behind a paw without scaring them!

Here is a shot of the two of them while Andy was holding them the other day, and one of Misty stealing some of Smooch's food - and Smooch let her without any growling or hissing.

They had a call to the vet last week (Misty has a bit of a hard doodie problem!) and got vaccinated at the same time, so one more booster in January and then speying in February and they'll be set.
