I just wanted to say what an awesome sight it was as all the bikes rode out of Lake Ferry (I was towards the back) - knowing that every one of those bikes was being ridden by a woman. Made me feel really proud to see "sisters doing for themselves" All ages, all sorts of bikes.

And really nice to have the fast experienced riders like Vicki choosing to hang out with the ladies, what great role models for the newer riders.

Must have been quite a suprise to onlookers if they realised it wasn't just another bunch of blokes (with the very rare woman) riding round the Wairarapa.

Trust me I would rather ride with a fast woman any day...ok that came out wrong. What I mean to say is that woman are less likely to indulge in ego trips and alpha male type shit slinging that the men can be prone to. Having said that I ride with some good guys who are over that kinda stuff now. Probably old age (not you Nigel).

    Awesome!

Thanks heaps everyone for making our ride such a fun day! Special thanx to Trudy for organising it and making sure our pack stayed on target from the back. And to Melissa for the YUMMIEST muffins ever! they did slow me down on the way back though! lol. or maybe that was the bourbon Hope you all had an awesome time and I look forward to meeting up with you all out on the road soon. Funny how we managed to get our ride gatecrashed by some strange beings posing as women!!!
Don't forget we have the Wednesday Newbie rides which meet at 6-6.30pm just over the Avalon bridge in the carpark by the pond! hope to see some of you there

Till next time, happy and safe riding!

Methinks the newbie ride is also being gatecrashed by old timers (like me) posing as newbies. Good crack though aye? Any excuse for a ride.

I didn't see a full speed one, just a slow one while we were stopped waiting but I was impressed regardless.
