    BBQ 2nd Dec

Well MrMelon has gone to Thailand for 2 weeks and has left his BBQ at my house so I thought that I'd better make the most of it!

Im having a BBQ at my house this Saturday from 1/2pm-ish onwards. BYO meat and alcohol if you want it. I only have a small bedsit but have a bit of floor space and a couple of couches if anyone needs to stay. I also have a pretty big yard if anyone wants to crash out under a tree.... I do live close to a bus route to town as well.... Everyone is invited but I do not expect this to be a particuarly "child safe" environment...

PLEASE TEXT OR RING ME ON 027 668 7628 FOR THE ADDRESS AS I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO KB ANYMORE

Sounds good Hels, but isn't it the same day as the toy run, does that mean you're not coming now??

    Ok...

How about you get on the 'other' xmas thread and the toy run thread and tie it all together so we come to your place after the toy run BBQ?

    I would - but I surrendered......

oh - and I'm 50/50 at the moment - bikes having a tanty and I'm flat out with work....

The toy run is in the am (10am I think) and although there'll be stuff happening down there I don't plan on being there all day long. A couple of beers, some meat cooked by fire, sounds good to me!

Ha, my bike wont even start at the moment. Col dragged it all the way to the top of my driveway and I couldnt even crash start it. Im still waiting on a chain and the bike isnt booked in until 14th Dec. So no, sorry I cant come! Ive also been off work sick all week with the flu so I dont think a ride in this cold is best for it!

Yeah, I know unfortunately I have a very steep property a very small house so kids would get bored and prob get hurt somewhere where no one would see them and I cont want that on my back... Felt stink about posting it but had to be honest...

Thanks for the PM Hels and I've PM'd you back. Looks like I'm helping a chick move house now instead, though there is a promise of food and drink there so can't complain.

Sorry to hear you've been sick and gee we've got to get that new bike sorted eh!

As for sickness funny thing was I'd been in Aus for two weeks in lovely warm weather for the last week and got a bit of flu just as I left there so didn't make my first day back at work. Too many changes of temp I guess.
    Cheers

I won't be there but anyone who's going - can you please let Helen know I've got her chain...

buddies can find out my contact details, or just pm me.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Will do (re: chain) There was laughing sausages and the odd beer or two. Sels, Limb... and 6 or so others were there in the sun. Thanks Hels - who can't get online but wishes to thank all those who managed to get there and play with her pussy.

    Hope the bbq was cool.

We've been blatting around koh phangan on these 125 scooters all today. Managed to get a flat tyre out in the wops so we stopped and got bitten by a million mozzies. Dengue fever here we come. We managed to find a bike shop 2km back down the road tho and the dude rode out, took the tyre away and fixed it and came back in 5 mins and charged us like $10! Sweeet.

This place is absolutely buzzing with little bikes. Far few kr150's (hundreds everywhere in bangkok) Most people hire 125cc(?) 4 stroke scooters for $8 a day, but they've got xr250's for $16 a day and you can even hire vfr750 racebikes and r1's here! Pretty funny considering most of the roads here are goat tracks.. lol.

Just been out at the beach today gettin a bit of a tan, I think the water's gotta be 25 degrees or so. This island's getting packed out with tourists now. There's the full moon party here on the 6th so I think they're expecting maybe 30k people to be here for it. Aparrently the cops hit this island hard for drugs. We got offered cocaine last night by an undercover cop while we were walking along the beach. It's real worrying. Might give a mushroom milkshake a go this week some time though since they're semi legal I think. I'm not too keen to spend any time in a thai jail or pay the corrupt cops their $2k bribe to keep you out. This place is absolutely nuts though, they've got clubs all along the beach. Even last night there were hundreds of people down there and music all night long. They've got the 100 baht ($4) whiskey buckets which come with a hip flask of shiskey, a bucket of ice and a red bull so we might try them tonight instead of the beer changs we got smashed on last night!

Oh yeah Helen I'll try and call once I can find a phone that actually works for international calls... It's pretty hit and miss whether the call will go thru, then if it does it seems we can't really hear anything...
