    Photoshop help

Seeing as we seem to have a bunch of photoshop gurus on here, I was wondering if someone with the relevant skills could spare some time to help me out. I've got an old pic that I want to tidy up for my old man but I'm not really up to the job, plus I've only got Corel Photopaint to play around with, and its confusing at best.

Just wondering if someone could tidy up the top left corner, the crease in the bottom left, and maybe clear up the stains on the petrol tank as well if its not a big task?

    Any help is muchly appreciated.

this file ive made pretty small. so qualitly wont be very good
the full file is 3.5 MB
jut so you can have a look at it.
im not very good with photoshop stuff but ive spent about 5 mins on it.
just altered the levels gave it a bit more saturation and got rid of the blemishes you wanted done( only a quick job, could spend a fair bit more time being more particular.
and sharpened it a real little bit.

Thanks guys, I like what SBF has done with the levels (sorry, cant bling ya at the mo, have to spread some around first).

DM, good work with the crease in the corner, a vast improvement.

SBF, dont suppose you could be persuaded just to fix up the left bumper just a bit more? Thanks guys, your effort is much appreciated.

Corel PhotoPaint can do anything Photoshop can do...

Use the Clone tool to clone good part of the photo over to older part...

    Adjusted colour
    Touched up corners
    Painted the car
Touched up scan spots and general tidy up of whole image

Okay here's a quicky, sorry it's a bit rushed - hopefully all the known creases and whatnot have disappeared. The original is 2.9mb so just PM me if you like it enough to have the original sized one, or any changes that I may be able to make.

Sweet, thanks for your efforts guys. Think I like SBF's the best so far, I like what he's done with "the levels". NHNZ - I'm not sure I agree with you about PhotoPaints abilities, but you've definitely got a lot more skill with it than I have!

Zeocen - I like what you've done with the colours, looks pretty good.

The guard and the stain on the tank seems to be giving some trouble. I think Skunk's done the best job of the guard so far. Wish I could take bits out of each one! Appreciate your efforts guys . . .

I'll have a look at it tomorrow if I get the time too.

All those years retouching Holdens must be worth something ..
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I can do anything others do in Photoshop in CorelPaint... (a many times quicker and easier than I would do in photoshop.. I have prooved it time and again) I have be using it since version 3 and been a graphic artist for 15 years... Corel and Photoshop have been battling it out for years... but thats another story... my point is get to know how to use the application (any application) most people don't before they say it cant do this or that...

I have restored 1000's of photo's in the past... some you would think how can that be done. Designed 1000s of stuff for clients... Don't fall for the brain washing advertistments that this is the industry standard... thats like saying helen clarke is gorgous because she is PM... and then believing it... or mac is better than windoows and linux is better than both... its a load of crap. I get sick of hearing it... My bike is better than yours... its red so it goes faster...

Just to let you know at the time I did my version I was on my Linux system and did the version I posted in The GIMP... now thats one crazy difficult app to learn but again a skilled user can do anything that photoshop users and corel users can do... The version I posted was a quick 5 minute touch up... (including realising oh crap you wanted the rusty bits gone too re-doing and re-uploading... )

I be waiting and expecting the hate mail, and comments... hehhehehe

It's all good mate, like I said you've got way better skills than me . . . but I guess I have never really sat down to try and learn either app.

Speedie - err, thanks, I guess??? Besides, look at his hat - what hottie isnt going to fall for a guy with a hat like that?
