AND he had no intention of getting her out he had abandoned her and I have spent hours looking after her and training her because he lets her go and she runs to my house which is about 9 km away and pound gets her on her travels now and then

I just had a look at your profile. Seems to me you got more serious shit in your life than a dog.

    Must be late

Cause I'm fuckin confused. From what I can make out you got a dog out of a pound, then a man came and took it away, then the dog ran back to your place which is 9km away.
    Who is this man?
Do you go and randomly get dogs out of the pound.
    Where is this dog now?
Are you smoking some green stuff or are have you forgotten to take your pills?

Sure.....get the dog back...don't feed it for two days, then take it back to this arseholes place and smear jellymeat on his balls, set the said hungry dog free.
    Sorted.

If I was in your shoes, I'd find another man. Or seriously think of moving. Perhaps both.

You're a soft touch for a doggy-face! You're soft spot for animals means you can be taken advantage of in this situation. UNfortunately you may have to harden yourself and let the loser suffer the consequences.

You say you know what you're going to do.. Care to enlighten us?

I'm alittle confused...I understand the need to get the dog out, I'd hate to leave any animals in the pound but it's his problem. I wouldn't have anything to do with this guy if this is the way he treats you for helping his lame ass out. He's a deadbeat as simple as that STAY AWAY FROM HIM.Don't get caught up in his bullshit regardless of what he says.

I am a fan of natural consequences...

Take the dog back maybe in a few days or a week. Tell your mate it's going to happen. That gives your mate the chance to do something about it (let's face it, your intervening has complicated things a little... otherwise I'd say take it straight back).

Then - it's your friends choice. The fate of the dog is where it should be - with the owner.

Next time you have to go to the pound take the bastard with you, leave him there and take the bulldog home. If the mongrel isn't claimed after a couple of weeks he'll be put down. End of problem

Did the dog become your responsability legally (ie the pound released it in to your care?). If so I imagine you'd have grounds to call the cops (or at least the dog ranger) to get the dog removed from this person, anyway best of luck, I think I'd be trying that at least....

LOL. That pic has trouble written all over it.
FINE. This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
