    Manfeild's $15 mil upgrade

Front page of tonights Evening Standard has half the page devoted to this great upgrade. It got me very excited till I read through to find out what was going to be done to the track. Near the end they mention among other things that they plan to resurface the track in 3-5 years. I can hardly wait.

And unless they build it to withstand fucking trucks...they should ban them from it!

it is funny to think that they do everything BUT the track surface it self....

In japan most of the surfaces dont see past about 5 years!!!!

Thing is the City and Regional councils are paying for the upgrade mainly for Agricultual shows ect. ie Local Ratepayers are paying. But any Trackwork has to be funded by the track users and as they state in the acticle they can only be charged so much. I don't go to as many trackdays now as the price has gone up and I only get half the discount I used too so they aren't making anything from me by charging more and I'm just losing interest.

I'm willing to bet the trucks that ripped it up get charged the same to go on the track as I do for a testday

are they adding any more corners?
Not a bad track, but could be a tad more challenging imho.. altho I've never ridden the extension I admit..

Good to see that they're not trying to shut this one down, like they are to Ruapuna!!! I'm of the belief that if the trucks rip it up more they should definately pay more towards the resurfacing

Manfeild is a cool track. even the short circuit its way better than that Shithole Puke...... By a long shot.

I just wonder why the long track isn't used more often?

Can't wait till the Nat round there!!

Everyone knows the answer to this.

1/ Its cost alot more to hire the full circuit.
2/ You need twice as many flagmashals.
