What to pay for new DR650?

Sorry for the dual posting but not getting attention in the general ravings. Paying dealer cash how low will they go, on road?
    Insert witticism.

Be ruthless, offer 'em a grand less than the label for a start. Hit 'em for free handguards & stuff too. They're used to having finance or a trade in on their side, if you've got the readies you hold all the cards, bargaining is part of the fun. See if you can find a dealer with an 06 or even an 05, you might get a runout deal even though they don't really change the DRs.

    Cheers

RRP is $8995, I wouldn't expect a dealer would go lower but you could give it a go. The thing to watch for is the on road costs, some dealers will try and rip you off. Sportzone wanted to charge me well in excess of the LTNZ charges for 1st time registration, plus they wanted to charge me for the oil they had to put in the bike. I went elsewhere and paid the standard LTNZ charge, got the oil free, and got a Ventura pack rack thrown in for free. So the bike price may not move, but there's other things to work on.

    Slightly off topic:
I got my bike at sticker price ready to rock with full tank of gas. Not sure if plate was thrown in or I had to pay for.
Also got a percentage off gear bought.
Next bike I'm going to be more aggressive.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

12400? Bloody hell. 8995 has been the RRP for about 4 years now. They used to be 10995 I think and dropped 2k a few months before I got mine. They are still 8995 now.

We were looking at both the 650 and the 1000 and was supprised the DL1000 was only a couple of grand more than the 650 and that was from sports zone !!!

Ah ha, I think I see the problem. I think you might be talking about the DL650 while the rest of us are talking about the DR650. RRP from the latest Kiwi Rider DR650 8995, DL650 12995, DL1000 14995.

If your into saving money why not look second hand, I just paid $6000 for a 2004 model, 3000km's, cycleworks exhaust, decent bars and good knobblies.
They are out there if you hunt around.

Well being a bit of an impatient bugger I have landed a second hand virtually new ttr600. At least I hope I have. It's just down the road so I get to go fetch on Monday. I need to start another thread on how to check finance owing without paying for a VIR.
    Insert witticism.

You want a trad Triumph like on your Sprint but with edge instead of outline and similar big dropshadow to the ZXR one?
Colours for your Print would be same as ZXR or you could go wild with main body in yellow or something.

    Artwork $30
per tank size decal up to 250mm long $35
    +post/courier

(and you have to post a pic for all to see, I'm getting back into self employment shortly so need the advertising)
    Insert witticism.
