    Dumb dog owners

I like dogs.... Seriously like em - always had a mutt around the place but...

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/st...ectID=10413307

FFS - didn't we pass all sorts of laws to sort pricks like this out?? Whats the bloody point of all the stupid leash laws and shit if we can't take action against unco-operative idiots. The enforcement people need as good a kick as the drop kick owner.

I'm not a big fan of dogs, but I can see why some people are. They can be awesome pets if looked after and they can often be a best friend. People like those scum (owners of the attacking dog) shouldn't deserve to have dogs, or any other animal.

When owning animals, it's a responsibility put upon you to look after them, and that means making sure that if they're an animal which will attack (dogs), then they're are kept in a secure environment, or when out for a walk, are kept on a leash.

People like them make me sick, and I really feel for the guy and his dog who got attacked.

Peace hath higher tests of manhood

Ive seen this guy walking everynow and again, and always makes me thankful i have my sight.

How dare he (the owner of the pit bulls) do this to him and his dog... I hope his remaining dog is destroyed too. He obviously did not learn his leasson the first time.

Owner should be destroyed. Very easy for these fuckers to get another dog.

Yeah I read about that in the paper, makes you feel sad for him and his dog. He's a bit scared to go out for a walk, no one should have to feel that way.

Here's hoping there's a whopping fine thrown at the pitbull owner and the sod has to do something tragic like sell his Harley to pay the fine...is it illegal to carry Mace over here as a civilian? I'll buy the blind fella a can for the next bastard pitbull.

Can I point out the fact that the smacking law change will have exactly the same effect on the retards beating kids to death as the dog law did for this guy? Didnt mean to hijack the thread but its was the first thing that popped into my head.

Just read that link... FARK... where are those pitty's?? a nice bit of poisoned meat should do the trick!! Grrrrr.... poor guy with his guide dog getting attacked!!

I love dogs... have always had them... 2 large dogs (alsation and alaskan malamute) and if I was out walking with them and one of my girls got attacked... at least I would be in some kind of a position to intervene (pull front legs apart really hard, splits ribcage=dead dog), the blind man wouldnt have been able to do much at all to protect his 'best friend' & 'eyes'(the dog)!! grrr... *puts hackles down now n takes a deep breath*...

Thats sad.... I love dogs.. they are like children and loads of fun. Dogs are a huge responsiblilty because they are like children and need alot of care and attention and training. I hope the other pitbull dog is put down. I had two dogs.. a labrodor (got run over by a train) he was my baby, and a Doberman/Lab cross which... unfortuanltly didnt have a brain... couldnt train it, was all over the place, he still pretty young when he bit my neice on the face when he was trying to get food off her... I had him put down the next day, as I couldnt trust him with children. I took responsiblity for what my dog had done... so should the owners of the pitbulls.

Shoot the fucking dog... but 1st shoot the fucking owner, how simple is that.

sorry but I get sick of haveing to pay the price for the few wankers that screw it up for the majority of us dog owners... cant even take my mutt for a leadless bash about with the tennis ball at the local park now, due to the minority of dog owning arseholes out there.
    cheers DD

Fuck Yes. Dont Blame the dog they are a pack animal and follow their leader which should be the owner.

I want a Dogo Argentino but are not allowed one in this country though they are good pets and good guard dogs due to poor owners in the past.

In all seriousness the only bad dogs I have ever come across have been so badly treated by their 'owners' that they'd tear anyone to shreds - including the owners. And the owners should be put down for creating them.

This is a myth. To effect this requires the exposure of your throat. Just think about this for a minute and see what is required for anyone to perform this.

There are other techniques equally effective that will disable an attacking dog. And much safer to perform too. A fist down the throat of the dog is one. Grab the tounge at it's base with thumb and fingers and pull like shit. Or else just ram the fist down the dogs throat and choke the fucking thing. Even if unsuccsesful the dog will think twice before having another go. Another technique is to come over the dogs muzzle with your hand a grip the muzzle so that you finger and thumb are in behind the canines. If done correctly the dog will be unable to close it'a jaws. With the other hand grab bottom jaw and together wrench both jaws in the opposite direction. The whole key to this being successfull is not to panic. Remember all the dog has is its mouth you have two hands and feet.
