    New Tradition for Xmas

Well Mrs Nudie and I decided to make ourselves a tradition for this Christmas and future christmases by donating to a good charitable trust - namely the SPCA.

So we bought some cat food and dog food and trundled down to the SPCA this morning. Mrs Nudie even made a card for the cats and dogs too.
They were so grateful and we felt ever so good.

People often forget about the poor animals that get neglected or dumped over the hoilday period, so by giving something back filled us with warm satisfaction.

It's hard to visit places like that, you see so many animals and you just want to take them all home !!

I was in China this time last year and ate dog around christmas time. Does that count as charity?

Seriously - I do a similar thing as you, but for humans. Not knocking what you do though. Goodonya.

Scuse me - I'm just bored and being a smart arse.

I hate cats though. Selfish mfkers. And what is it with single blokes who own cats. Gahahay? Not knocking gahays - each to their own. I ride a Honda, so I can't really talk. Live and let live. Apart from ghay cats - they should be put down. And ginga ghay cats. Not that I'm a biggot, coz I hate all cats.

    Bored, bored, bored.

Sorry for waffling and hijacking your thread.

Do the right thing guys n girls - make a small donation to those less fortunate than yourselves this crimbo.

Now in the process of trying to rescue a donkey from them aswell.....

You gotta love animals, but you can't eat all of them though, some are for loving.....but not that "special" loving you hear about

Maybe we could all make a donation to the SPCA this Xmas so the widdle puddy tats and doggy woggys have a nice Xmas, and in memory of Uncle B.

Good on you guys, but I went one step further! I made and iced Christmas cakes and a Christmas pudding and collected all dog and cat themed items (crackers, toys, photo frames, photo albums, etc) and fudge, Christmas serviettes and tea towels, etc and auctioned them off on Trade Me for the Horowhenua Animal Rescue Shelter. Got $60 for the dog one and $86 for the cat one (but the woman rounded it up to $100), plus I received donations of about $70, then TM refunded my fees so I added $20 and gave them a donation of $250. I also 'bought' two kittens off them for a further $150 so I totally applaud what you have done because so many people forget the animals at Christmas (and I don't mean the drunken relatives!).

I was so pleased with the response from people bidding and also from Cindy at the shelter that I plan to make it an annual thing, although I will probably only run one auction, but put cat and dog things in it next year.

I also regularly buy a few cans of cat food and drop them in the donation bin at the supermarket.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

At the last school I was teaching at the SPCA came in and talked to the kids. She told us how thousands of animals go into the SPCA (just in Auckland) and how most of them don't survive because of the horrible neglect and abuse they receive from arsehole owners

    Good on you!!
I'm gonna make it so PC
