Rest in peace guys, another tragic loss from a terrible event. Life won't let us forget for even a second how fragile it is, and how quickly things change. As some have said, be careful out there, because time marches on with no mercy or conscience.

My condolences to all family and friends concerned.

myself and rossi gal are so deeply upset about this....the loss of two good guys....good friends....these two clowns....they made life looks so much fun....and so easy....and inspired both of us to start racing....because they made it look easy and for the record it ain't.....they just made it look easy because of their talent....and passion for what they were doing....they lived life....made the most of what they enjoyed doing the most....

this is a time where moruning is appropriate....but also enjoying and celerbrating two lives lived with passion and to the fullest....we should be laughing at their antics...tom foolery [pack of bloody muppets really] ...and remebering them for who they were...two really great guys!!!

so share a funni story if you know one about either....it will help alot of us...

condolences to the familys and nik xxx

    R.I.P bruce and daryl.....

Didn't know these guys too well, but I've spoken to each of them on occasion via pm, and in the forum.

A nasty thing to happen. My heart goes out to the families, loved ones, and those who who there when it happened.

It's a small consolation but I'm hopeful that it all happened very fast, and glad there were no other parties involved.

    RIP guys.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

It blows me away and many that were on the ride. Large as life one minute and then no more.

I was talking with Bruce in the morning at the Autobahn and checked out his gloves. He always had so much time for everyone. Darryl, I never did speak to but both will be sorely missed. It was a tragic day all around.

    RIP both of you.

Sincerest condolences to the family and close friends of Bruce and Daryl.

I was on the ride yesterday but was tail end charlie and had stopped closer to the start of the whangamata turn off so did not see the crash site.

I didn't know Daryl well, first met him on the second Waikato Rally a couple of years back, but he was always friendly when I saw him on rides and trackdays etc.

I knew Bruce a bit better, I was bloody impressed with what he'd achieved with his business at the same age as me and how much energy he had for work and riding. Not to mention his skill on the bike.
He picked my bike up for me a couple of months ago when I had a minor bin on the same road to Whangamata.
    He was a top bloke.
    He will be sorely missed.
