I am reading this thread in utter shock. I have never met or spoken
too these two KB's, but have had the privillage of getting to know them through this online community.

Their funny muppet avatars say it all.

My thoughts are with both your families & loved ones at the moment.

Also to the ones that where on this ride, my thoughts are with you.

Rest in peace Bruce and Darryl

    Tears

I am in tears because I have just found out about this accident and theres obviously so many of the local members especially whom knew these guys. Most of the Wellington members would never have crossed their paths but thats irrelevant and it is a truely terrible waste. I would hope that their friends and fellow members from up that way could perhaps share some of the stories with us so that we can be part of your grief please. In time and in a special thread perhaps.

Well done to SpankMe (hope I got this right) for keeping this within bounds to allow members to get in touch before any facts come out. Well Done. Well Done. I have family up there whom also ride so your action is excellent. RIP to the riders.

    A Big Thankyou

To the Whangamata fire brigade, ambulance and police who all worked so hard to try and save these 2 fantastic blokes and the support given to the riders initially on the scene and those that arrived soon after.

Riding home without one of our usual crew was a very sobering and solemn experiencce. Also a very hard thing to do.

To Quasi, stay strong. Daryl and Bruce rest in peace. To all you other riders out there keep the rubber side down and your sensible head on your shoulders.

    R.I.P bruce and daryl.....
    Well said Poos.

I hardly knew either of them really...just enough to know that I'm sorry I didn't get to know them better. I can honestly say I've never seen a couple of blokes look so laid back they were nearly falling over, as they go about doing something to such a high level.....and on a shoestring budget.

Ride on fella's, you will be sorely missed.

Didn't really know either Darryl or Bruce all that well, other than to say hi to on a ride. From what I know of them they were a couple of real great guys and their loss is felt by all on KB.

I wish I had the drive and skill these two guys had, they were truely something special for a noob like me to watch, even if it was only for a second or two as one of them passed me on the track.

    Rest In Peace guys.

    RIP Bruce and Darryl.

Kiwi Biker reaches far, I only knew of them as contributors to this forum but despite that I feel their loss.
RIP Bruce and Darryl, condolences to family and friends. John.
