Many thanks to all, although I didnt participate, i did pickup some valuable pointers, and especially for Mak, who made me realise a few things.

Dan did you get home alrite last night? surely you couldnt have got lost.... there was only 2 intersections to navigate...

I see a past 'one-night-stand' sitting having a drink with some of her friends at miss q's.... that was a minty moment... thankfully she did not have the guts to come over!

Spray on degreasers eat rubber if left in place too long.

In case some of the people on this thread did not already know, Pretty much all aerosol or silicon products are bad for tyres.
Even tyre shine will reduce your grip. If you put it on your tyres I would not recommend riding in the rain until it dulls.
When it rains the silicon runs down into your tread.
Aerosols contain chemicals that can change the properties of the rubber currently on the surface.
Most modern rubber contains petroleum products (or synthetic compounds with similar properties). Putting a degreaser on it can cause faster wear, softer side walls and or reduced traction.
Should you feel the need to clean your tyres use a mild detergent and lots of water.
Yes you tyre picks up worse as you ride around, but there is no point in giving fate a helping hand.

Paper towel will get the bulk off, splash of dish liquid will sort the rest. I'm not sure how good or bad but not keen to take the risk.

After a bad encounter with this website, I will continue to run this weekly event for new riders. I wont however tolorate any more abuse.
