How to change light globe on Honda VTR250

Hello,
Have a VTR250 with headlight that looks like this.

Does anyone know how to change the light globe / bulb on those head lights? It is accessed thru the back, like car headlights or do I have to take off the lense and surrounds on the front to get to the bulb?

Well you need 6 Irishmen. 1 to hold the bulb and 5 to turn the bike round and round...................

piece of piss dude. on the sides of the headlight shell-the black bit- are two screws (heads about7mm round) Unscrew em and pull the bottom of the chrome rim forwards--it might be a tight fit -there is a lip at the top so drop the rim downwards. The bulb is held in by either a twist ring or a spring steel clip.
If you want a hand Im havin a quiet day here and I can show you how to do it.

Eh? That doesn't sound that easy. My very first bike (1974 model) was the same. I would've thought that things would've advanced since then, like on my last few bikes you unplug the connector, pull off the boot, unclip the thingo, then voila! (or viola!, if you're musical) - there you are.
Honda must have made too many headlights in the 70s and are still trying to use 'em up.
I suppose next you'll be telling us they still use bulbs with tungsten filaments, or have they a whole bunch of carbide lamps to use up as well?

F/S Thats only cos you got a bloody big piece of plastic to get in the way when you are trying to do that easy procedure. Those of use who go naked need some secure protection around our vital parts....

I was a bit staggered to follow a man on an old bike with acetelyne (sp?) lamps one night. I was a little gob smacked by the amount of light it made...

dude its just got the old style headlight shell and a torch bulb
