for now, it's only a patch away from vanishing. But then, why should you have to put up with having to do anything to get a useable file.

nah, they won't ban burning your music you've bought. They allow it to be burnt 5 times as mp3/aac. But they can't encode any audio music 'file'.. well, at the moment. If an audio disc changes too much, half the players won't play the cd. It's a pig, but it works

NZ music is just as overpriced as the foreign stuff.

When a song is 50 cents, with no DRM, no restrictions on its use or playback etc etc, and the record companies arnt making multi billion dollar profits then I'll pay for music, until then fuckem.

on top of the iTunes NZ store, we now are recognised as being able to use macs too!!

The Apple NZ Store (and it's not renaissance's cheap copy) is now online and they're selling macs cheaper than most shops (altho Magnum Mac still look to be about $30 cheaper..), and to kick it off, they're having a SAAAAAALEE!!!!!!! tomorrow (Wednesday 13th) which sux arse. Cos I'll have to buy something, and I've got no money as it is

still, at least we can now buy decent macs at a decent price. And I've already checked; the 'Pro' (G5 Intel) with all the trimmings and 2 30" screens etc etc, will cost a small NZ$35,100.. bargain..
