Bono is doing a U2 concert..

Bono is doing a U2 concert in Ireland when he asks the audience for some
quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands.

Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone...
"Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."

A voice from near the front pierces the silence...
    "Fuckin' stop doing it then!"

No ones holding a gun to his head and making him do the charity work. Good on Bono I reckon, you too 98tls. You're both doing more than me, so you wont hear me knocking your efforts.

Bono (what a stupid name anyway) can go shove his self serving interest elsewhere. The problem with feeding africans who don't have income, food and shelter but manage to have 6 children is not money.

He should focus his effort on the UN and all the other corrupt relief agencies who pocket most of the funds raised. Also, reform the corrupt political system throughout Africa. That is if you REALY care.

As for Geldof, pftttt. Fat lot of good “Feed the World” did. Yip, we feed a few children who grew up, had 6 kids who now have aids. Good work.

Give them condoms, not food! Problem solved and I don't even know how to sing.

Is that what you are doing? If so, good on you, sounds like a constructive effort and it makes sense to me (from my outsider viewpoint). If you not, then I cant see how it is your place to belittle the efforts of someone who is trying to resolve the situation. I dont know enough about the situation or what Bono is doing to feel qualified as an arm chair critic, but from what I see, at least he is putting his money where his mouth is (well, more to the point, where other peoples mouths are).

To my way of thinking, that (even if misguided) is far more noble than nothing more constructive than sitting on an internet taking the mickey out of someones name simply because you dont agree with their viewpoint.

I can start sending some used condoms. Being 3rd world and all then they wouldn't mind 2nd hand, it's sort of a step up when you think about it.....

Hey Rat, remember they are Africans. Your condoms are too small.

Yeah but these are skinny africans that don't play basketball.

Ah well, if they're too small they could use them like it's ice cream in a tube and solve the hunger problem. Kinda like neopolitan ice cream but with the vanilla on the inside, and the chocolate and raspberry on the outside.
