    Waitin on a bike.....

    Hellooooo
Been enjoying the threads - many a lunch time reading and . Absolute newbee rider and would do anything to start fixing that, BUT - cant find a bike. Got my gear ordered, so the only thing left is the wheels. Cant wait to ride and very jealous of every bike that goes past. Hopefully before xmas...fingers crossed. Thanks to everyone for all the help with my bike buying queries.
Once I have a few kms under my belt and feel confident on the road would love to hook up with other Auckland riders for adventures (slow ones first). Hopefully see you all out there soon.

Kick ass ... the more riders the better.

Are you still trying to buy or just waiting for one, already purchased, to arrive?

Still waitin to find one to buy. Not too many 250's on market and most are overpriced from what I've been told. Looking for something like ZXR, ZZR, GPX, GSX - something along that vein.

Hi LTJ and welcome. I've just bought my first bike but it's been in the workshop since I brough it home (I bought it from someone who had it sitting in her garage for a year, so I'm having some preventive maintenance done before I take it out).

If there's one thing more frustrating than not having a bke... it's having a bike and not being able to ride it!

Never mind, I'm back out to the garage to sit on it and shout "VVVVVROOOOM". (Shame about the spray on the inside of my visor)

ooooh I have an even better idea! This may be my chance to ride without a helmet!

I'll just fire up the SV with the micron pipes then sit behind it on the Volty yelling VVVRROOOMM! and feeling the wind in my hair!

Thanks Klingon. The excitement of actually getting a bike and then having to wait for it to get on the road must suck. But with all that build up, imagine the awesome feeling when you dont have to vocalise the VVROOOming yourself and it will be coming from the bike. Let me know when you get it on the road - if I can't ride my own bike at the moment, I will live vicariously through everyone else

Hope you are having fun exploring the possibilities of your first ride ... pity the pricing is all buggered up! Take your time and try them all out, sure something that will suit you will *eventually* turn up!

Hi Dorcs, sorry, I mean Morcs It depends on how many beers you've had, but I reckon after a few, I'd definetly be as hot as Liza Minelli

Always rides happening somewhere, keep an eye for the 250 rides that Maverick puts together every 2 weeks or so, maybe a good bunch to start out with...slow tedious fuckers.... (just joking)....
Where in Auckland are you?....the 250 rides are out East
