I agree 100% and it usually takes a tradgedy to bring people together, which is really sad all in itself.

That said I believe I may just ask a question and hope there is a reasonable answer - other than that I have lost my marbles.

Did not know the guys but have followed these threads in respect and come to know them a little as a result. This has been a tragedy all round.

My question.... I was browsing here on tributes thread a day or 2 ago. I looked at page bottom to see as usual I was not the only one. 3 or 4 other names were there. I got the shock of my life when I'm sure I saw "UncleB". It was not there long.

I sincerely hope someone was just using his log in and it was not some trick of the mind. Is it possible someone used his log in? Or am I just a confused pisshead - erm... rephrase - person with reduced tolerance due to fatigue?

There's more good comes from KB than anything else - meeting people - the support network - rider training - best wishes when you're down.

I joined KB to find out what 250cc bike would be the best one to spend my money on - my idea was to save fuel costs by commuting on a 250cc bike instead of a car. Seven months later I've been on weekend rides, Thursday night rides - I've ridden to Taupo and back and done a track day - on top of this I still commute for $15 per week instead of $70 but that is no longer the point.

I've met more people on bikes that I'd consider real friends in less time than any other time of my life.

    Thanks to you all.

Perhaps it was someone using his computer and not realising they were logged in as him? I hope his wife may have dropped into the tribute thread to quietly read through some of the special things people had to say about UncleB.

Debbie is logging on and just reading your thoughts and memories of Uncle B. She said at the service just how much your support means to her. Her Bruce, that most of us didn't see, was not only her man, husband and partner - he was also her best friend. To know that you all were part of his life helps.

Debbie I know that yesterday would have been surreal, I can only imagine how you felt. Be strong, cuddle the cats and know that Bruce loves you - even now.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

    we will remember them

I once asked UB (when I was more nooby) if I should join a 'motorcycle club in the rapa' he replied "you have already joined a club and it has 6000 members who can help you out". So true... I have made lots of friends, havent meet them all in person, but I am planning to in the future. A family for sure.
Well if you are ever in Auckland and needing a bed or just want to stop for coffee give us a pm would love to meet you. Mrs busa pete under an assumed name.

Just a quote I found from a pm from UB...

As you begin to ride, find people you trust (as riders) Watch and learn from them. Ask them questions. As they say, no question is a dumb question.
Like I said...There are plenty of good people (riders) who will help you.
Take your time cause there's no rush.
Motorcycling is a wonderful thing. I love it, and I hope to continue riding for many years.
There's nothing like cruising down the highway with the wind in your hair and bugs in your teeth

    You go girl!
Aww I miss his advice so much.

I hope you are finding some comfort from these messages Debbie.. my thoughts are still with you, and I hope your 'kitties' or fur babies are holding up well
