TROLLS

I was on an American site a while back and made a simple typing error. I was disappointed in the unfriendly reponse I received so have not bothered with it again but it did raise an interesting issue which I had never heard of before. I was accused of being a Troll or Trolling. When I bit back some of the more friendly types gave me this address to investigate. There is a whole world on internet launguage out there I had never heard of (and in reality do not give a shit about) but I thought to myself..........

Can you spot a troll on this website????

I know of one who stands out like a pig in a synagogue
Should we name them??
Could we own up to being one
Can you still be a nice bloke/blokette and troll
Do we really give a shit one way or the other

That's a good article, hadn't looked that topic up on Wikipedia before.

TBH I don't really think we have a troll problem on KB, and I hope it stays that way.

Trolling, interesting. In the UK we have another term for 'Trolls', and it's Twat. The act of Trolling is of course being a right twat.

I used to post on a couple of the conservitive American gun forums. They said I was a troll just because I had a different veiw on the subject of gun controll than they did. Same on the Militia forums. These bozo's are something else. Trolling if that what I was doing can be fun. What realy pissed these guys off is that I did my homework on this issue and if you are going to go trolling, if that is what I did, then be prepared for a time consuming journey. You have to be able to counter their arguments and in the end they just got nasty. Having said that I learnt more about the American system of Government than some of the Americans knew themselves.

Oh come now surely you cannot seriously expect us to believe that Americans are perhaps shallow minded creatures with a lack of ability to consider any other opinion other than their own narrow perspective of the world. I have never seen that happen before
