    iTunes in NZ

iTunes is finally in NZ now. Not interested in whether you love or hate Macs, Apple, Steve Jobs, OS's that work blah blah. This is a decent and legal music download service.

Apparently songs cost $1.79 ea. Albums generally $17.99 ea. Not bad! Not sure how many artists are encompassed by iTunes, but it must be enough to justify running it huh?

I haven't got iTunes at work so will have to wait until I get home to try out.

www.apple.com/nz is the new 'official' online store for Apple NZ now it seems.

    Rock. On.

Perhaps more to the point you can now click on Advanced/Get Album Artwork and iTunes will trundle off and get the ... ummm ... album artwork. Covers and stuff. It's cool and, for reasons I have yet to fathom, you need an iTunes account to be able to use it.

a quick note for the non technical people. Before using this, find out about the flavour of DRM before buying from iTMS and see if it's acceptable. Even if i could run iTunes, I wouldn't be buying from them.

Bypassing Apple's DRM isn't the most difficult thing on the planet.
