Glenorchy Arrr - My 1st Rally

    HEY DUDES,

This was my first rally last year, so am well an truly up for this one.

Scumdog will bear witness to my drunkeness on the Friday night, didnt know I was going to meet some bikers on the Friday and had just come away from BRAZZ after the normal Friday night piss up after work do, so was 3 sheets to the wind. Could hardly string 2 words together, although I think I had a good go.

Met up with them the following night at the rally, and was more than a little hazy on who these new geezers were, arrrr the demon drink and amnesia, they go so well together.

Its a wickedly beautiful ride there, certainly a breathtaker and is kinda my favourite place in the world (at the moement!)

Whats great about my memories form teh first one, si thats where I met the likes of Rashika, Dangerous, Senisble Shagging Teddy Bear, Scumdog, Mike from CChurch and a few of the others.

Anyway, sod staying in a hostel, Im camping out, more fun cheaper which leavees money for BEEEEEEEER.

Ab Fab Rally, all who can make it, you are in for a great time.

'ENJOY, ENJOY, COZ LIFE'S A TOY"

    HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL. X

Thank you to those who came to the Garstonian Rally 2009, heads up for the 2010 Rally.......

I thinking the same, the camping gear is on the bike anyway why not use it it????

Hopefully meeting Scumdog at Beaumont on the friday... can ride up with you if you want on the friday, meet scumdog, and then the rest of the crowd at cromwell... let me know...

Will be playing it by ear anyway.

(not that I actually drink... actually I don't have better things to spend my hard earned cash on... ie bike :-) )

Two options then, 1st camp at the camping ground and spend the night in QT with us... or 2nd head on to the rally site, if so we try and camp...

After paying at the gate, drop down to the right (off the track), head down towards the road, theres a flat area near a power pole either there or just below it on another flat spot.
Thats were we will be Sat morn anyway.

HEY before heading to the rally site Sat morn, anyone up for a race on the ludge?
    cheers DD

option 3 is to see if my sister has any spear beds at the Chalet Queenstown but the chances are slim she is usually booked solid this time of the year. So camping somewhere is probably more the option I will have to go with

Got to admit a Friday night in Q'town sounds good (it WAS good last year!) but if no place to stay might just cruise on up to rally site and pitch the tent. (why do you always 'pitch' a tent?).

Will meet up with all those I said I will on previous posts.

I have just got a night at the Queenstown Top 10 Holiday Park "Creeksyde" only about a 400mtr stumble to the centre of QT. I was hoping to get a twin share cabin with 2 single beds, but the following was all that was aviliable.

Cabin: Lodge Room, sleeps 1-2 people, Double Bed, crockery,
cutlery & linen supplied, towels available for hire, communal facilities
under same roof. NZ$57 per night

So if anyone gets stuck for a place to bed down, and you can asure me that you do not "man hug", then there is room. ha ha, I am a married man so there would not be any inappropriate touching!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah I would be in for a luge, never done that b4 but looks like awesome fun.

The two of us are going. We'll ride down with everybody on the Friday till Q'town then we'll go to the rally site and set up Camp KB (at the same place as last year). On the Saturday we'll probably go for a ride (Tony's Trail and Gwendas Track), have lunch at the Glenorchy pub then head back to the site. Shit! That sounds too well planned, sorry.
