Dual Compound Tyres ?

I need a bit of advise, Currently i have a set of Pirelli Dragon MT01 / MT02 on my XTX now i can not fault the tyres they sticks to the road like you know what to a blanket, but I'm a tad pissed I need to replace the rear after less than 2000km.

I am thinking of replacing them with either Qualifier's or Pilot Power 2CT.

Now i'm not looking for tyres that will last forever i want just a tyre that won't let go in the tight twisties, i don't commute on it and i won't be doing track days on it but i do want a tyre thats going to last for more than 2k.

I have read all the treads on the pilot powers and the m3's etc etc but i couldn't find anything on dual compound tyres. So any advise would be great.

I've replaced my avons with Bridgestone BT020s which are dual compound. I've done 1600 Kms so far and they look like new (still got the rubber threads in places. They grip well, wet and dry (lots of cold and wet grip practice) and are easy to drop into corners. On long sweepers at 90 mph (145ish kmh) they hold their line easily even over ripples and small bumps (so I'm told officer).

The only slippage I've had was when I left the lights in a hurry this morning and moved from shellac (grippy stuff) to smooth wet tarmac.

Theses are the 'touring' longer lasting compound. Bridgestone also do a stickier dual compound BT010.

I've got a Bridgestone 020 on the front of my 400. the centre has about 3mm of tread, and the sides are worn out completely.
