Isn't that more than what you paid for your ride? Mind you, if there was a mil-spec aviation helmet that was road approved, I might just gee-up the dinero 'cause I'm a sucker for things like that!

    It's a Caberg! A Caberg V2

Casberg..who was that. sounds like a French perfume.
If it was at the sprints then it was me. If I can post a link then go here or do a KB search for Caberg.

Or go to www.caberg.com Or was that caberg-helm.com?
The Nolan has an outside flap that covers the top 1/3 of your visor. The Scuberth's also only comes down part way. Mine has a jetfighter shaped inner visor, that sort of wraps around your nose & cheeks and retracts up into the top of the helmet. Caberg make a flip up as well but I went with the full face. Bit of wind noise at times but other than that it's a fantastic lid. Lots of goodie features. Who cares, I like it and when the light changes the ease with which you can lower or raise the sunshade is fun.
You can't get them in NZ. I had to buy from the UK.
edit- link worked. See p2 of that thread for better pics and the flip up model.

What would be really neat would be a prescription-ground visor. That would obviate the need for the wearing of spectacles and their associated issues, such as fogging in winter...

The helmet was 99 quid at most of the on-line shops but 90 at Scottimkights who I used.
Still works out better than an up market Italian helmet sold here. Not that we can even get an equivalent here, with internal visor, adjustable length buckles.

Edit: They're going to send mine standard airmail 41 quid

well shit me he says right there

To be helpful or not? Now if I help you and you get one, then mine wont be a unique skid lid anymore! I think you might find some UK stores now at GBP90 ($270-$300 then add freight!) Check out the Nolan (about $475?) and contact Lou at AMPS before you decide. Oh, and where did I get mine, Lands for Bags of course.

It's a Schuberth, they're only $999 to $1160, around Shoei/Arai money so NOT the most expensive helmet in the world. The BMW carbon probably has that honour in the bike world.
But the Schuberth are absolutely superb helmets.
Although I still like my Nolan, I'd get a Schuberth C2 if the CFO allowed it. In fact, I might buy her one because she does like her Ipod on the move and the quietness of the C2 would be a real plus for her.
