    Journeys of a 250

    Well,
Yesterday I rode to Hamilton, my first time in a city. It was REALLY windy all the way, I was thinking that it was a bit of a tough ride. That night I watched the Last Hurrah (great movie!), after watching that it made wind seem a piece of cake . Big thanks to Warr and his wife ,Clare, for their hospitality and letting me stay at their place, also for taking me to the movie (Didn't break the 10PM thingy).

This morning I headed off to Thames. That was a really nice ride, hardly any wind fun little bumps in the road that make you sort of lose your stomach a tiny bit! Met up with MrPeanut, saw Thames then rode home . By the time I got home I had done about 510Ks (not much I know, but the most I've done... so far).

Hopped on the computer and Kiwifruit asked if I felt like going for a ride... what other answer was there but yes!! Went for a fun little ride through the back roads, KF taught me how to do emergency counter-steering and by the time I got home Cookie (the bike) and I had done over 600kms!

Any way, that is our little journey for the week

On ya! Good for you getting out there and learning about your ride and getting the feel of the road beneath the tyres - sounds like you are an excellent student and putting into practice all the things you should be doing! And it's great you're enjoying it! Keep it up!

    Nice to meet you Jas

It's a shame I didn't have my bike. I would have liked to show you some of the roads around here.

I trust you had a safe journey, and I'll be seeing you at the next track day

Good to hear you're getting some serious miles in - that helps.

Tell Car I said hi when he pops down your way...I hear he'll be there soon!

    Well done.

when you want to corner like a crazy mofo (without always having to hop off your seat), 3 words from Mr. DMNTD that help a lot: Kiss your mirrors.....

    Sounds like a good day.

600 km isnt a bad run for a days riding, most ive done on the GSXR250 is a bit ove 800 km (Whangarei - Auckland - Bay of Islands - Whangarei) and i was pretty tired by the end of it.

Sounds like a fun ride.... 600+kms when you're green? Man i'd be sleeping and getting a cairopracter for the next day booked! i remember those days, the pain! lol. Then again, a gsx250 looks more comfy than that cbr250. Gooooood workings
