    Missing : Summer

Ok, well I'm soaked and cold. I thought December was summer over here?

Had a couple of interesting moments on the way back... couldn't see the tar snakes on Tamaki Drive, so opened the visor, and was hit in the face by loads of painful needles (actually water droplets).

Think I might need to invest in a fog protector & clear visor for rainy nights

Yeh I do that, but not sure if it's just me or not, but then I get water that runs down the inside of the visor, so that I can't clear it if I wanted to...

Know what you mean .. tucking right down and using "your screen as a screen" helps too, especially in higher speed wet riding.

We don't expect the worst of winter's weather in June, so why do we think it will be glorious in December ?
The weather never gets really settled and hot until mid - late January.. unless you happen to live in HB - where it is wet today too.

It could be worse. You could have just come back from 25-30 degrees in melbourne like me. Welcome to NZ.

Indeed! thats why this Lad takes time off from the middle of Feb to the middle of March for the last 2 years running...

This year had 4 days during that time where it rained... in Auckland of all places

South Island Trip starting Feb 17 awaits, along with BEEEEEEAUTIFUL weather
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure...
