Myself and three other mates non KB'ers will be meeting up at 5:30 taking TeKuiti, Taumarunui and then some road called paraparas which Iv'e never been on, the pace won't be too hot as two of the guys just plod along. So if you keen to get up a little earlier? or we might change our time, will post again closer to the day.

theres still quite a bit of road works, have to take it easy through there,it will never be the road it used to be cause of the rain damage over the last few years.

The Parapara's are the worst ever!

Well maybe that's a stretch but I just went down to Wellington this Tuesday and returned Wednesday: both via Wanganui.
The Paraparas are a mess. More road works than I remember seeing ever and lots of slips, gravel, dirt and construction all the way through.

Honestly, I'm gonna give them a miss if I can. Hell, it'd be worth a longer trip through New Plymouth to avoid them!

Good luck if you do ride the Paraparas though, you'll need it! If it rains they'll be an absolute nightmare.

Weather dependent, and also if I can get my sorry ass up out of bed that hour of the morning, will see you all at the autobarn, if Im not there by departure time I wont be going.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.
