OMG...I've just realised...I'm now on holiday!

Well well, I find myself not preparing stuff for classes to teach - I've moved and packed up all my classroom gear into the new room for next year.

    What to do...
My parents have made plans for me...my brother has decided that I need to go to Waiheke before the start of new year (curses! Will mean I will be turning up to the Busa_Pete's shindig at night and getting lost! )

I think I need to go riding. Lots. Even more than what I normally do. I want to tour the country, meet and greet fellow kbers all around the NI and SI. Tinker on the little ol'Hornet and put some braided brake lines on it, mount some UFO LEDs on the underside...

I don't think I will waste time sleeping in at all on my holiday time, need to get out there and make the most of each and every day! Carpe Diem so to speak!

Will also need to dig a ditch, tote some bales, spend some time dangling a line into the water, jump out of some planes, go ride behind a boat, catch some waves on a board, hit the gym, read some good books, play with my younger cousins and nephew, lay down some patio, re-organise my room and garage contents, get the mold off the roof, replace the gutters, put a tow-bar on Dad's car and lighting rig, hanglide/parasail...a little list so far!

And then...do more riding. Lots and lots of it!

Now what are some of the more interesting things that others will be getting up to, when we aren't earning a crust to spend on our two wheels of freedom and other mundane things of life?

*wheeze* *pant* *gasp* ... I must remember to do that when I ride my bike too! Sometimes around some nice twisties I end up with such a big grin that I have to take a deep breath in because of it!

I was thinking of doing SH22 down through SH37 PiriPiri, back up through Otorohanga. Pootle up to Kihikihi and then across the Arapuni Rd to Rongotata then to Tirau onto SH28-29 to Tauranga and follow SH2 up to the Coro!

Why? Because I want to! Leave at crack of sparrow's fart and pootle my way around at leisure!

    Yep, I'm on holiday too.
Need to wrap some pressies and get them on the courier, post chrissy cards, book my restricted, clean the house, tidy the garden up and then I can ride all I like.
We are off to the Naki for Xmas, Wangas for Boxing day, then Aucks for New Year... bring it on, I say, but I do wish I had paid holidays for the whole 7 weeks...

Seeing as you have a wee break and you will be touring don't forget to drop by and pick me up...

Teachers aye? (sic) 40 weeks of the year you couldn't pay me enough to do that job. The remaining 12 weeks I'm insanely jealous!

Make the most of it every one, you only live once in this incarnation.

Wow, sounds great that everyone is teeing up for their crack at what life should be about! Getting out and doing some riding - and spending quality time with the family (The way Colapop goes on about his family sounds all too familiar to me! Polies and Asians both seem very similar in that crazy dept!)

It's a shite day at the moment, I will go for my pootle on the Wed/Thur this week. Today I will don wet weathers and go for some gadget shopping for myself (oh wait, shouldn't say that when Colapop around! )

Looking at my map book, I think I will also plan a ride to Whakatane Via SH29 to SH30, pootle around SH2 to Opotiki and ride SH35 to Gisborne!
