Another great day out, well except for the bit where it started raining five minutes into the ride until the Papakura side of Hunua gorge.I was tempted to get off and push the bike around the corners ..... From there on it was all good.
I do not think anyone would deny McJim and Maverick are assets to the biking community, well done once again.

she's fine and the bike has now got a bit of Character.
Glad to hear the young lady is ok.
    For a 2 month rider,she certainly has some skill's.

How many of the bikes were 250's do you reckon? Not that many from what I could see! Today was the very first time I wound the throttle as far as it would go, (trying to catch up with the Antique Honda CD250 that roared past me....) so I don't think I'll be joining group2 for a while.

Well, I only found out this morning from my little sojourn out to Whangaparoa to the Busa's new years eve party...

Chickadee binned!? Glad to hear she's okay and it sounds like there were some mitigating factors that helped ... like wearing the right gear! A little birdy told me that "If you have proper riding pants, you need to wear them!"

Sounds like another characterful 250 themed ride - the usual carry on up the Hunua type fiasco! Good thing theres plenty of road for everyone to ride and get lost on!

As for me, after I finished up at Waiheke - I swapped the family driving duties in the cage for my little ol'Hornet. I made Whangaparoa by heading to Wellsford... and then resisting tempation to travel to Whangarei for a subway snack, I took the SH16 route instead (several times... ) before finally realising I needed to head to the Busa's party!

Met some more colorful and characterful KBers and put some more faces to nicknames!

Right time to eat some brekky and sort myself out for this new year thingy!
Big ups to all those who helped out McJim on the group stuff and those helping out where they can!

Well what a ride to chose for my first ever KB ride. I had an awesome time and would like to pass on my thanks to McJim for organising and Mav as an excellent group leader. Also cheers to Donor for being a great TEC and all the guys and girls in the slow group.

Certainly a great bunch of people in the KB community and i am proud to call myself a member.

Look forward to the next ride.

    Safe riding everyone

Thanks Lucy, great to meet you.

P.S. Your bike has the dubious distinction of being the first ever vehicle I have overtaken on my new bike

See you (and the sexy yellow pants of doom) next time
