Yep it's a 2 Smoker but a reliable and pretty much bulletproof little engine.

150cc of pure agression - when I get bored of my VTR I often make and excuse and take the RG over the hills for an hour or two.

Means you can save yer money too coz they're only about 2 grand.

AND it's a 1998 NZ new bike not a 1989 Jap 4 cyl with a gazillion k's on the clock.....
I looked at the Rg150's before I bought Cookie, nice little bikes. Alot of fun to ride but I really don't want to have to kick start a bike I know it's poncy of me... but I do like electric start . I also do a lot of long distance rides which I've been told two strokes aren't the best for, how do you find your wifes one goes over long distances?

    Thanks

The furthest on the RG she has done in a day was 300km and it was fine - the only thing you need to do is drop it down a gear every now and again to open the throttle to increase the oil flow (2T oil feed is linked to throttle - not premixed).

I deliberately steered clear of zxr and cbr bikes because they were all so farken old. I couldn't stomach paying new bike price for something that is in the last 20,000km of it's useful life. I'm lucky to be old though. Early Feb and I can sit my full - only 9 months after Basic Handling Skills. Then I can get a Ducati 916 or a XB9R

Hey McJim, I may be lookin at an RG to do streetstock on... as soon as I sell my horse.

I think I'll still go for a ZXR or CBR for a road bike though.

Hope your test goes well, be sure to post pics of your new toy
