Just never ask a F800 owner to top up their water OK. BMW's Designers were high on some bad shit that day.
Pillions love it. My daughters have always enjoyed rides as Kids up and down our street but one ride on this bike and they loved it. Being Kids they don't know anything about bikes, all they know is they feel so much better and safer on the 800. So now they ask for rides more often and want to go further a field. In fact yesterday I took my 10 y.o. for her longest ride into the city and around the bays. It has really good grab rails and peg positions. Roomy comfy seat with that raised hump between the rider and passenger that works well.
I am sounding biased aren't I. There are times, not many, when I wish for heaps of horse power but only for a moment. As it is, it is an ideal balance between it's handling and it's power. If you gave it another 20 horses or more then the suspension would need a full overall - in which case, why the hell wouldn't you just buy a 130, 150, or 170+ hp sportsbike in the first place if that's what you want, what you really really want...
I must get some knee down pictures to show just how well this thing corners.
