I'm not part of the Gell generation and would don't mind "helmet hair".It looks a lot better than the birds nest I usually got after a rough night in the sack. Besides, as you get a bit older the helmet will stop your hair from blowing away in the breeze.

There's about 6 inches between my helmet and my hair when soft but that goes up to nine when erect......oh, sorry, wrong helmet.....and wrong hair.

Yours is an easy fix though.If you think helmet hairs bad... Try having my hair as long as mine.... Its like mission impossible to brush it in the morning... I don't think you'd EVER worry about helmet hair again.......Now I'm talking bout half a bottle of detangler...
1 10c scrunchy + tuck it in your jacket = no tangles.
2 10c scruncies one at each end of your hair = no tangles.
If you prefer to have the wind in your hair when armed with this knowledge then you know the risks you take, and the ultimate outcome.

Gel, definitely the way to go. I find liberal applications in the correct location prior to helmet use followed by a general roughing up following helmet removal works well.
If in doubt, ask Postie. His hair never moves.
