Thread: Where are all the South Island police this holiday period?

    hmm... I was always under the impression that cops could be obscured when they catch you, but when you go right past where they were hiding, you'd see them (obviously it'd be too late by then). But my point is, as you're driving, you're always going past any one point on the road, and can tell with some certainty that there are no cops at that point, and I never saw any at any stage, or any cameras.

    I'm certainly not saying I can't be caught, just that up till then there were only the couple.

    Anyway, my trip's "fin" and I catch the ferry tomorrow, I'll let you know if there are any clinging to any buoys on the way home.

    as the population of the south island is 135.. they only have 5 cops to do the whole island...
