You didnt miss much Frosty. It was a awful day and an awful ride out to Raglan with Death, Draco, Vagabond and Ryan. The cafe served horrid food and is was poor service. The sun forgot to shine.......LOOK OUT theres a flying pig

Did anyone else here do SH16 today? What an awesome ride (yet again...)
Had things to do at home until midday and then I was off. Looked at the sky as I was coming into Wellsford and saw a couple of blackish-looking clouds. Told them to bugger off which they did. Rest of the ride was in brilliant sunshine. Coming back the same way I felt a bit adventurous so took the turn off to Warkworth which I've never done before. A bit bumpy but at least sealed - until I got about 5 or 10 km along and then gravel. Bugger, I thought, how long will this last? Fortunately only a couple of km, and then the rest of the way was great. Good surface, some twisties and sweepers, no traffic to speak of, some interesting scenery. HP was conspicuous by their absence the whole way until I got onto the harbour bridge and then one on a bike came roaring up behind me all lights blazing and siren going. Sinking feeling (was it the speed, or the creative lane changing earlier...?) but he obviously had other fish to fry so to speak (probably late for his afternoon tea) and zoomed past me.
Lots of bikes on the road and most of them waved back at me.
    Perfect day. Sorry, Frosty...

just a C152 aerobat. i'm a bit big in it, but ya can't do aeros in a 172, as as long as i've only got 1/2 fuel on board, it's not too bad. i work at auck international, on the tarmac and in the air nz hangars, so i get to see and touch heaps of really cool stuff. a bombardier executive jet came in the other day from canada - imagine cruising at .85 mach in total luxury in your private $100mill jet direct auckland-vancouver....

Ya can but it's not legal....... Saw a Cessna 180 do some lovely barrel rolls down the runway at Dairy Flat a few years ago.......You can also barrel roll a Fox Moth with 12 Doz beer in the front compartment, but, thats another story..............oops
