    Yamaha radian600 1986

    Hi There,
aren't really new here but just remembered about this site when i got the new bike - as above. Does anybody else have one of these oldies?
Bit about myself?! Well, i am considered too old to ride a bike by the kids i teach! I love riding and first rode a Yamaha QT 50cc years and years ago!!
I totally enjoy just travelling for no reason at all. This new bike is a stunner and i cant wait to get it out.....somebody outta chat to the weatherguy for me to sort this out!'Am in Carterton so if anybody is in the Wairarapa and goes out riding - lemme know!

Nah I bought mine from a dude in my street in Auckland. I had it for a month and sold it. I am used to sports bikes and I just didn't get enough enjoyment out of it and it didn't match my bright red boots. It is a good bike and they go hard for what they are. But mine had a few issues like the key falling out when I hit one of the many pot holes whilst riding around Auckland's 3rd world type, inner city roads.
Plus a guy on a cruiser nodded at me and I knew it was time to sell.

I gotta say though, it was popular when I sold it, I put it on trademe and it sold in 2 days, 3 weeks later, people were still calling asking if it were still for sale.

Welcome to the site though. I'm sure you will enjoy the Radian, it is a good bike.

    This was my bike

    Hi,
Always nice to see someone get a new toy.
I had a late model Radian for a short time a few years ago, good bike lots of power for its size, one of the small frame yamaha's.The Aussie and NZ traffic police used them for a time.
Hope you have lots of fun on it when the weather improves.

A word of advice, from my experience these bikes don't like the wind so get plenty of road time in before you tackle bad weather.I rode mine wet or fine day and night and loved it but had twenty plus years of bikes under my belt.
They have great a power for size ratio so will get you out of most things .........................enjoy your riding hope to see you on the road sometime

Welcome to the site! Fine ride you got there and I know you're going to love using it - and I know about the kids, when my students found out about my bike they just thought it was kewl.

Now, they look out for all bikes in case its me riding on by! Enjoy and keep it rubber side down!

    Welcome aboard the site Elle33f.
If you want to meet up with other bike riders just ride up to the carpark on the top of the 'Tukas any fine weekend! Or Martinborough Square any Sunday lunchtime.
Keep an eye on the "meetings and events" thread for organised rides. There was one last weekend that had 80 odd bikes that came over from the Hutt, lunched at MBoro and spent the avo riding around the 'Rapa
Experience......something you get just after you needed it
