    Winamp trouble

I'm having trouble playing peticular music files on Winamp. And music coming from a sub-folder from my main music folder will freeze Winamp and the error report pop-up will appear. Any idea what might be causing this?

    Other things I should add:
-Main hard drive with all the computer programs only has 250MB of space
-Installed a new driver for a new soundcard
-Installed the latest version on Winamp (although this problem was occuring before I did that)
-The 'sub-folder' has roughly 20GB of music in it

first drain the carb and then check that the airbox isn't filled up with water/petrol/shit.
Check the plug colour to ensure its not running too lean or too rich.
If this doesn't stop the problem, then take the powervalves out and take all the carbon off them. Ensure there is a thin film of 2T oil between the plates before you put it back together

I use Quintessential. Try that. See if you get the same problem. Should help you see if it's the PC or the app.

Delete some files or get more disk space the drive needs at least 15% of free space to operate correctly or to Defrag. 250mb of free space will severely limit the effectiveness of your swap file.
If the program spankme suggested gives same error it is probable that the files you are playing are too fragmented to play cleanly.
To test this theory burn the files to cd and see if they still play erratically . If they do your files may be corrupt if they play well then you need to defragment the drive. Do not attempt to defrag a drive with less than 10% free space on that particular partition, unless you want to buy a new one. at 10% - 15 % back up your files to cd or DVD before starting because you may still fry the disk

I regularly had similar issues until I moved my collection to a larger partion on a new disk.

winamp still runs fine with about 60-80gb ish (what I have tested it with)... so that won't be your problem.

You have very little space on the hdd.. the warnings you should be getting would be for a very good reason

    Musicmatch Jukebox.

I used to run Winamp, but once my song collection started to pass the 2000 mark, it began to slow terribly.
So I went to Musicmatch Jukebox. It runs without slowing due to number of files and I find it nicer in every aspect.
Also, It operates in a similar way, so a vet winamp user will find their way around easily.

During the install, make sure you give the Musicmatch Jukebox player assignment to the mp3 filetypes. This will probably fix your problem.
