The Cannonball Bike Run – the original event that inspired the films and road runs for cars – is to run “Its longest, most challenging and spectacular event to date.” Starting in Los Angeles and covering a mileage similar to the original coast-to-coast format, the run culminates in Las Vegas.

Each day will average 9 hours riding. Interstates are ignored with the focus being on two-lane highways and mountain/back-roads. The route remains a secret with route for the day only being handed out each morning.

Backup facilities during the event include luggage being transferred directly between
the hotels and technician back-up and support provided throughout the Run.
