I have an evil plan - I will do the same route again, but by day - and remember to bring camera and other paraphenalia to enhance my two wheels of freedom buzz!

A virtual visual symphony of stunning splendour will grace my next rambling post of positively post-ride thoughts!

I'm a bit late on this thread (whats new) but next time you come through GIJOE you have to stop it and say hi....I wont accept a no! If I have my new bike by then I will go for a ride with you

Gisborne roads and the country roads surrounding it are quite scenic, lucky for me my job takes me to totally remote parts of the surrounding hills. Ive seem some sights that make your jaw drop. I should really take my digi cam and snap up a few photos!

Nice write-up, agree with the comment about giving your Mum a hug. You will never win in that situation, even if you are totally blameless - a bit of self control goes a long way . By rights, I should bollock you too for not looking me up in the phone directory when passing through Tokoroa. You could have had a decent feed and drink for nothing!

Ahh booger! A free feed and drink? I'll just have to ride back down when my little ol'Hornet is fixed and humming along again

You're just trying to encourage me to get a BB for it's endless touring possibilities right?

And yes, always give your mum a hug whenever, and where-ever you can - you don't know how many you can give/get!

Ummm...when she mentions that I have to marry soon and that there's a nice girl from China I need to pick up from the airport and show her a good time around?

Or...when I have to scrub in a new set of tyres over a long weekend...or...darn it... it doesn't take that much of a reason right!?

Cor, well you know me -- just drop her off at my place and then go for a 5000km ride, and by the time you get back I'd have shown her a good time around for you
