Mmm, is the 2 hour a single rider event or teams? When is it? Anyone need a spare rider?

    2hr:
It’s 2 riders one bike. Good event & all. We run one in Wgtn too towards the EOYr.

We have Tauramanui the week before so will see how motivated I am to travel 2 weeks in a row, but would like to do the 2hr again. Specially as was too sick to ride on Sunday, grumble excuse excuse. . .

Good to see you put your money up & buy a bike Eddie. From the sounds of it, it is too rich which is why it is soggy & gets worse as it gets hotter.

Try to think of the problem as throttle position rather than revs. It might be too rich right across the range or just down low, or just on the mainjet. When it is revving high it may mask issues there.

Try for a start winding the idle mixture out a bit to see if it improves. If you get past a couple of turns try a smaller jet. Once happy try dropping the needle a clip to see if that is better. Then try a smaller main.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

I believe it's got the standard gs125 main jet in the dr carb, but might have a home made or non standard needle.

When we did the GN head we took 3mm off to get the compression to where we wanted and a DR200 cam goes straight in,slightly more duration and lift, you can also convert to total loss ignition and machine down the flywheel so it spins up quicker.
I'm not sure which carb it is, haven't looked yet. The bike has been converted to toal loss and I was thinking about getting one of the spare flywheels machined down. Not sure how far down it could go though.

easy to see,on the flywheel theres a little bit that triggers the ignition, you can only machine down to that,I'll be up there this weekend and can show you on your spare if you like.

I figured that would be the case, so only about 15-20mm or so then. Still they are pretty heavy for a 125 so it should take a noticable amount of weight off.

Any ideas on what that would cost?
