    eek Marshin's new speedo

I have a problem with the speedo drive on my Marshin Cheetah

It appears that the cable drive (that is part of the front wheel) is giving up the ghost. It appears to be part of the front hub and I am guessing expensive to fix.

I figure that I have two choice:

    a) Bite the bullet and pay some $$$ to get it fixed - it only cost me $1,400 to buy the bike so dont want to spend heaps on it

    b) Get another form of speed measuring device for it - cycle computer, GPS or any other suggestions.

One further thing to keep in mind is that I am going for my full in a month and a half so wont be keeping the bike for much after that. I do however need to get a warrant with it so it will need to be VTNZ friendly......

    Thanks in Advance

Not really sure about this one so you will need to carefully check this out but I understand that you can fit a bicycle speedo device to your front wheel and the other bit to your handle bar. To be legal you need to keep a log book of the kms that you do with the dates.

I guess there is always the trusty alternative of going to your freindly wrecker to get sorted.

    Good luck
