Back on topic guys Ive used a set of Rjays soft paniers on my old 600 bandit and they worked great, to be fair there was a few small marks on the paint but these wernt an issues as they were noticable givin some of the other larger marks and the paint .

Now I have upgraded bikes I used these same paniers on the SV while cruising round the last couple of weeks (2000km down and still more time off ) and to make sure the paint wasent maeked I got some non-slip rubber stuff from payless plastics, it normally is used on the back of mats to keep them on one place and stop them sliping, any way, 2000km down and not a mark on the paint. Got to be good.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

    Found some

Cycletreads over in Takapuna have a fairly good range of Oxford gear so will have a closer look next week when i pick up a new chain and sprocket set.
Maybe it wasn't such a good idea cutting the rear luggage loops off
After seeing Mikes pic with the panniers on his TL1000 there is no way they would survive with the high mounts, the outlet are at rear indicator height.
A good size tankbag should do the trick.
